This web site is dedicated to exposing the truth about injustice in Aruba, and the case study exposed on this web site is just an example which illustrates the real state of the rule of law, in particular the public prosecution service.

The Dutch Kingdom and in particular the Head of State of the Dutch Kingdom, the Queen of the Netherlands and her appointed representative in Aruba, the Governor of Aruba, are responsible by virtue of the Charter of the Dutch Kingdom to guarantee the rule of law in Aruba.

In practice both the Queen and her representative turn deaf ears on claims of gross human rights violations, and malfunctioning or corruption of the judicial system in Aruba.

The case of Carlos Severino Tromp is of particular importance, because it shows the pitfalls and shortcomings and most of all the lack of adequate external checks and balances to control and monitor police, prosecution and court officials in Aruba.

This stands in stark contrast with the "impeccable" reputation the Dutch have built for themselves as defenders of democracy and the rule of law, with The Hague being the seat of the International Court of Justice of the United Nations and the International Criminal Court in which war criminals are brought to justice.

This site may also shed some light on how the infamous Natalee Holloway case could have been botched up by the same shortcomings brought to the fore in the case of Carlos Tromp.

Whistle blowers, like messengers in war tend to get shot in the Dutch judicial system, in which the "old boys network" tends to cover up failures of justice of both prosecutors and justices and in the background the police and other justice officials.
